- Chris Maresca is a business & technology strategist and co-founder of the Olliance Group. Chris Maresca’s innovative thinking has been instrumental in creating Open Source business and technology strategies for clients such as Microsoft, Sun, Nokia, Wells Fargo, Intel and a over 30 other Global 500’s. His blend of expertise in open source technology, business strategy, and as a startup executive, has enabled top-tier VCs to understand and participate in the Open Source revolution. In this capacity, he has helped over 50 startups find better ways of meeting market needs and monetizing their offerings. Chris has been a contributing member to the Open Source community since the late eighties. In mid-‘90s, he was one of the pioneers responsible for introducing Linux into the US Government. He returned to this role at Olliance, advising four cabinet level US government agencies on Open Source strategy, along with several other international, national and local governments.
